Marta Velasquez is Edit Supervisor at Vice. She leads a team of Editors working on short, medium and long form Documentaries. As well as Editing some of the most risqué and hard hitting content that Vice is known for. She is also a regular lecturer at Ravensbourne University, leading Documentary Editing workshops.
Some of the highlights of her career have been the feature doc "Chemsex" which premiered at the London Film Festival and went on to be theatrically released. "Latin America's deadliest place to be a woman", which has amassed over 20M views in 1 year and helped to raise funding for women's charities working to prevent Femicide in Honduras.
Recently she has just finished editing "Tantra Island", a 44 min voyage into the world of healing through sexual Neo-Tantra practices. It premiered in the Everyman cinema and is due to be released in January 2023.
And has also been the Lead Editor for a 44 min VICE SPECIAL REPORT on the “Dangerous Rise of Andrew Tate” released on the BBC and worldwide in January 2023.
Past highlights have been "Fire Games of Napoli", an intimate documentary following children and teens gathering Christmas trees to build a yearly traditional bonfire, "Tripadvisors no.1 fake restaurant" and Oobah Butler's subsequent viral and award winning short docs and the long form documentary "On a Knife Edge" voted one of VICE's Best documentaries.
She also worked as part of the editing team for Viceland TV series "States of Undress" and the twice Emmy award-nominated "Gaycation".
Over 12 years working at Vice she's crafted over 100 documentaries into successful releases watched online by millions across the globe.
